Honey Butter Salmon Filets tastes as good as it sounds, no, even better than it sounds!
It epitomizes quick and easy. And it is REAL good. Gammy isn’t nuts about salmon but she really enjoyed it this way.
I was in the grocery store and asked the guy at the fish counter to cut me two filets about three inches wide out of the center of one of the big slabs of salmon there in the display case. Got them home and this is how I did it.
Put a skillet on at medium and add about a quarter stick of butter. When the butter has started to bubble swirl in the honey. Just eyeball enough to almost match the amount of butter in the pan.
Let it all get bubbly and when it looks like this..
lay the filets in the skillet with the skin side up. If your filets have already been skinned lay them in the skillet with the round side down and the flat side, that has the gray area in the middle, up.
You can watch the side of the filets to see how the doneness is going along. When the filets have turned orange about a third of the way up turn them over do the same with the other side. As an option you could squeeze some lemon juice on them as they are finishing up and/or some dill weed. But, that’s up to you. YOU”RE THE BOSS. After you have flipped them over spoon some of that Honey Butter good stuff on them as they cook.
