Lemon Garlic Asparagus
I put this Lemon Garlic Asparagus together while I was cooking up our Shrimp in Tomato Sauce. They both took about the same amount of time and even shared a few of the ingredients. It made for a quick, easy and tasty weeknight dinner.
We visited one of our grand daughters a little while ago and she had this towel in her kitchen. Had to share it.
This is what you will need for your Lemon Garlic Asparagus
The number of servings can be changed in the recipe card found below this post. Changing the amount of servings on the recipe card will automatically change the amounts of the ingredients.
- 8 – 12 asparagus spears – More or fewer depending on their size and your appetite.
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Juice from 1/2 fresh lemon – about 1 1/2 tablespoons
- 2 cloves of garlic – chopped
And here is how easy it is to make happen
Put a skillet that can handle the asparagus on at medium heat. Drizzle in just enough olive oil to coat the bottom. Cut about an inch off of the thick end of the asparagus spears. Add the lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper. and the asparagus to the skillet.
Turn the asparagus over a few times as they cook. If the garlic starts to get brown before the asparagus is done the way that you like it just scoot the garlic of to the side and move the skillet to where the heat is only under the asparagus.
When the asparagus is as firm or as soft as you like it, serve it up.
