Honey Lemon Shrimp
This is the first time that I tried this Honey Lemon Shrimp way to serve up shrimp. We try to stay on the Mediterainian Diet so I’m always looking for new non red meat recipes. My wife, “Gammy”, isn’t crazy about shrimp. For her it has to not be “too soft” or “soggy” or “mushy”. Only “crispy” works for Gammy. And this recipe did!
Today’s Tip
Don’t be reluctant to try new recipes. Even dream up some of your own. Like Julia Child said, “just have a what the hell attitude”.
First get a skillet hot with just enough olive oil to coat the bottom. Add the butter and squeeze in the lemon juice. As soon as the butter has melted and stopped foaming lay out the shrimp so that they all are laying flat on their sides.
Our Honey Lemon Shrimp is coming together.
When the first side is seared turn them over and douse them with the honey getting each shrimp coated with the honey. Let the other side of the shrimp get cooked and toss the shrimp all together. Drizzle some more honey on them and toss them a couple of more times getting all of the shrimp honeyed up. Now lightly drizzle some more lemon juice on them and they are ready to serve.
BTW here is another good quick and easy shrimp recipe
