Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 Fresh lemon 1/2 for cooking 1/2 for serving
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 tsp dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Whatever your veggies and carbs are going to be get them going before you start on the Tuna Steaks. The tuna will not take very long at all to cook. I made our  Caprese Salad  before starting anything else. We had microwave "baked" potatoes tonight and I put them in the microwave  just before I put the tuna steaks in the skillet.
  • Put a skillet on at medium high and add just a light drizzle of olive oil and the butter.
Put the Tuna Steaks in a bowl and add all of the rest of the ingredients.
Turn them over a couple of times to get the steaks covered with all of the good stuff.
When the butter in the skillet has melted and stopped foaming put the steaks and all of the other ingredients from the bowl in the skillet and cook up your tuna. Spoon some of the liquid on to the steaks as they cook.
  • Some people like it almost raw in the middle and some like it totally cooked all the way through. We like it cooked until is starting to get firm and seared on the outside but still a little pink on the inside. A finger poke will tell you how done it is.
When it is cooked the way that YOU want it  serve up your Tuna Steak Dinner. Spoon some of the liquid from the skillet on to the tuna before you serve it.
