I'll bet that you keep a bag of frozen, peeled and deveined large shrimp in the freezer. To have it thawed out and available you could move what you are going to need from the freezer to the refrigerator in the morning or thaw out the frozen shrimp in the microwave - it just takes a minute or two - or put the frozen shrimp in a bowl of cold water and in about four or five minutes they'll be ready to go.
