Shrimp in Tomato Sauce

Shrimp sauteed in tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes

Ingredients
 
 

  • 10 large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1/2 fresh lemon
  • 1 pinch black pepper or red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups tomato sauce or chopped fresh tomaoes

Instructions
 

  • Put a skillet that is large enough to lay out the shrimp. Eyeball just enough good olive oil to coat the bottom. add the garlic, lemon juice and the pepper. 
  • After the garlic has softened up but not yet turned brown add the tomato sauce (or chopped fresh tomatoes)
    Let the tomato sauce heat up and when it starts to simmer add the shrimp and lay them all out flat.
  • About a minute and a half to 2 minutes each side. When they are pink on the outside and opaque in the middle they are ready. Serve up and enjoy the shrimp in tomato sauce. Don't forget some of poppop's easy homemade bread.
