1/4cupbread crumbs or almound flour for gluten free
1/4cupgrated parmesan cheese
1 tbspgarlic powder
1tbspdried basil or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh
salt and black pepper - to taste
Instructions
First let's get the ground beef jazzed up. Add whatever extra flavors that you like. Sort of like making meatballs. Gammy has to stay gluten free so instead of bread crumbs I use almond flour. Then garlic powder, dried basil leaves, grated parmesan and black pepper. And salt if you want to. Mix everything together.
Form your mixed up ground beef into the size patties that you want. I always make more than I need at the time and put the extra raw burgers into zip lock bags. Then into the freezer to be on hand for even quicker and easier weeknight dinners. These are the patties and the extras that make up the rest of the meal. Grated mozzarella, - any cheese that you prefer will work just fine - a sliced up potato that I softened up in the microwave as I was mixing up the ground beef, a sliced up tomato, onion slices and some chopped up arugula for garnish. Parsley or basil works well instead of the arugula. Or, no garnish if you prefer.
Put a skillet on at medium high and eyeball enough olive oil to coat the bottom. Let it heat up and put in the burgers and the potato slices. When it's time to flip over the burgers and potatoes add the cheese to the burgers. If it isn't melted as much as you like just give it a minute under the broiler.Arrange the tomato and onion slices on the dinner plates. When the burgers and potato slices are ready add them to the plates. And enjoy your Quick Cheeseburger Dinner.
