Ingredients

  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped or 2 tablespoons pre chopped
  • 12 large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 fresh lemon juiced
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • grated parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  • Put a large skillet or sauté pan on at medium high and add enough olive oil to coat the bottom. When it gets heated up put in the broccoli. Sprinkle it with a little salt and pepper and toss it a few times as it cooks.
  • While the broccoli is cooking chop the garlic and when the broccoli has softened a little add the shrimp, butter and garlic to the pan. Squeeze in the lemon juice and add the white wine or chicken stock. Push the broccoli aside as necessary to make room for the shrimp to lay on the bottom of the pan. After about a minute turn the shrimp over.
  • Just about a minute on the other side for the shrimp. When the shrimp is pink on the outside and opaque in the middle it is done. Of course with some freshly grated parmesan cheese on top.
