11 pound pkg.fresh broccoli floretscut into equal size pieces
1cupchopped fresh scallionsor onion
6clovesgarlicchopped
2cupsmarinara sauceor canned diced tomatoes
Instructions
Put a big Skillet or Sauté pan on at medium high and add the olive oil. While it is heating up slice the sausages into coins.
Put the sausage into the pan. You could multi-task and put a pot of water on for your rice or pasta. Stir the sausage regularly as it cooks getting it browned on all sides.
While that is going on rinse and cut up the broccoli and chop up the garlic. We had some scallions on hand so they also went into the mix. You could use onions or just go with the broccoli and garlic. You're the boss.
When the sausage is browned on all sides add the broccoli and scallions(?) to the pan. After they've softened a little stir in the garlic and stir a couple more times for a about a minute. Add the tomatoes - or sauce - and mix it all together. Simmer for about five minutes.
Your rice or pasta will be available by now so serve up your Italian Sausage and Broccoli. Bon Appetito!
