Chicken Filets with Lemon, Butter, Basil and Garlic

Ingredients
 
 

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken filets
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 large lemon juiced - about 3 tablespoons
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 6 large cloves garlic sliced thin
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves or 3/8 cup dried

Instructions
 

  •  Put a skillet on at medium high and eyeball just enough olive oil to coat the bottom. salt and pepper the chicken and lay the filets in the skillet. About 2-4 ,minutes a side depending on their thickness.
  • Slice up the garlic cloves and chop up the basil while the filets are cooking. When they are firm to a poke or the juices are running out clear or they read 165°F on a meat thermometer add all of the rest of the ingredients except the basil.
  • Mix the liquids and turn over the filets a few times as the wine reduces and thickens a little. then just before serving add the basil and stir things up getting the basil mixed into the sauce.
    Then serve up and enjoy your Lemon Basil Garlic chicken filets.
