Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen Calamari (squid) rings
  • 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • olive oil
  • 1/3 of a 1 lb. box pasta
  • 1 Rounded Tbsp chopped garlic
  • 3 cups Marinara Sauce - half for the calamari and half for the pasta
  • 1 level Tbsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley or 1 1/2 tbsp dried

Instructions

  • Put the Calamari rings and the lemon juice in a bowl. Put a pot of water on for the pasta. Let them thaw a little as you chop up the garlic.
  • Set a skillet on the stove at medium and eyeball just enough olive oil to coat the bottom. Add the Calamari, lemon juice and garlic to the skillet.
  • Add the pasta and a little salt to its pot and stir it. Stir the pasta a few more times as it cooks.
  • When the garlic just starts to get translucent and the Calamari Rings are starting to get opaque put all of the rest of the ingredients in the skillet.
  • Stir everything together. After the liquids start simmering stir a few times as everything cooks and the flavors are mixing together. When the Calamari has gotten firm (about five minutes) everything else will also be ready.
